If you change your mind and wish to cancel your order, that's no problem.
We use highly automated systems to deal with and handle with huge volumes of orders so put you in full control of your order so you may easily cancel it yourself if you wish.
Cancelling your order prior to shipment, before it has reached picking and packing stage
Simply check in to your account with us to check the order if the order can be cancelled, there will be a clear option to do this within your account. This means that the order has not yet moved onwards through our automated systems to picking and packing so cancellation will be possible.
Within your account you will find that there is the option to 'cancel' your order yourself, simply selected this option and your order will be cancelled and a refund automatically processed.
If your order status is at any other point within our processing system then regrettably it may not be possible for you to cancel prior to delivery.
If your order has progressed within our processing system the cancellation option will not appear, and then regrettably it may not be possible for you to cancel prior to delivery or amend details associated with it.
If your order status is 'Despatched' and the cancellation option is not visible in your account we are unable to retrieve it from our automated systems before it arrives with you - but you can still cancel it! All you need to do is return the order or parts you do not want of the order to us under our standard return procedure. Please see below for further details.
Please be aware that if you refuse the delivery because you have changed your mind, we will have to deduct 25% of the order value from any refund due to cover the cost of return carriage.
Cancelling an order that has shipped or gone to picking and packing stage or beyond
If the order that you wish to cancel is beyond the point it can be cancelled prior to delivery then you do still have the right to cancel your order for any item purchased from Gardening Express, for a full refund.
Order cancellations must be made in writing, quoting your order number, within 14 days of delivery of your item(s), preferably by submitting a support request within your Gardening Express account area, or it can be sent by post to Gardening Express RETURNS, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 4UA
Once you have cancelled your order (which is past the point where it can be cancelled prior to shipment as outlined above), then the goods that you will receive should be returned to the same address, in their original condition, within 14 days of receipt.
The goods are your responsibility until they reach us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
We are able to accept delivery for these Monday - Friday between 9:30am and 4pm excluding public holidays.
- Please note, as a busy commercial nursery, we are unable to accommodate any callers on site for returns/exchanges, our set-up prohibits this from being a safe and practical option.
- Please note that due to the nature of our products - plants, pot sizes and dimensions may vary between seasons - so do not be alarmed if your trees have no leaves in winter, your roses have been pruned or topiary freshly clipped, or if your plants arrive in different sized containers at different times of the year - all measurements are approximate.
