Our current average dispatch time is 3-5 working days, but please allow 7-10 working days for dispatch during peak season/around public holidays when couriers do not operate and we are unable ship. (Please note the Easter period includes 2 Public Holidays either side of a weekend – if you are waiting on an order, don’t panic, it will arrive quickly after the long weekend if not before. We can’t however ship a lot of plants to be sitting in cartons for four-six days in a gloomy warehouse undelivered, although we will pack orders of plants over the weekend again for delivery from the Tuesday, this will primarily be those types that will not mind being in a box for a couple of days.)

Standard Delivery
Standard delivery is just £6.99 for all deliveries throughout the UK mainland only (not including Northern Ireland) regardless of order size, unless you qualify for free delivery. Free Delivery
Delivery is free on all orders over £250 in value for all deliveries throughout the UK mainland only (not including Northern Ireland)
Exclusions & Conditions
We cannot deliver to Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland or Channel Islands due to customs regulations relating to the transit of live plants.
We are also unable to deliver to BFPO and PO Box addresses due to the extra time plants are in transit.
For some of the Scottish Highland and Islands postcode areas we have limited shipping capability for items above 1.7 meters tall. If there is an issue with your order, we will contact you to discuss further.
Placing an order constitutes acceptance of these Exclusions and Conditions in addition to our other policies and terms of trade throughout the site. Gardening Express cannot be held liable for any issues arising related to any delay with order delivery.
It helps a great deal if you do add your mobile phone number to your contact details when ordering as couriers may send send you updates by text message.
Packaging
Below we have a video demonstrating how our plants are prepared and packaged for their journey to you. At the end of the video, Chris Bonnett also shows how to correctly unpackage your plants. This is very important to watch as we often get questions as to why our boxes look broken. Please note, they are not broken, we make notches in our boxes just above the pots to mitigate the risk of movement when in transit. Please do watch our video for the full explanation.
Tracking Your Order
- It can take 24-48 hours for tracking information to go live on our couriers site, please be patient as tracking may not show anything informative at first, this is nothing to worry about.
- It can take 1-3 days for delivery once the package is with the courier.
- If your order has not arrived within 5 working days after dispatch email, please get in contact with us so that we can assist you further.
Receiving Your Order
- Please unpack your order on arrival at your earliest convenience otherwise the plants will suffer.
- Some orders are sent in multiple boxes dependent on the size of the order, where this happens your dispatch email will provide all of the relevant tracking ID’s.
- Please allow 48 hours from receipt of the first box for any missing items and please check your dispatch notification email for any further tracking IDs.
- Please check around the property and with neighbours for your parcel as the courier can leave safe delivery.
- If anything is missing, please unpack in full and send photographs to us along with the packing sheet so we can resolve this.
- After delivery should any issues arise with your plants, please do let us know as soon as possible (along with photos), after 14 days we are unable to assist further with plant condition on arrival.
- Please note after 30 days from the tracking going live, we will be unable to assist further as this information is no longer available with couriers, so we are unable to review or get any further information. We will need to be notified as soon as possible of non-delivery / issues so that we may assist the best we can and investigate with the couriers.
