We list our plants by pot size (we have an article on pot sizes here “Plant Pots 101 – Everything You Need to Know“) rather than a specified plant size because plant height and spread are seasonal. This is because of a number of factors, the most important of which are pruning and the time of year the plant was purchased.
We prefer to let plants grow at their own pace during the winter because this can reduce the likelihood that the plant will be damaged by the harsh winter weather. However, if necessary, we will prune and cut back plants throughout the year prior to shipping.
In addition, the size of the pot in which the plants are grown is used to estimate their size. Because some plants just don’t want to grow as quickly as others in their pots, some plants might be bigger or smaller than expected.
